Fix: No video with supported format and mime type found in Mozilla

Firefox is a very popular browser that most of the internet users use for net surfing. But Firefox browser also get into issues sometimes. There is a very well known issue with firefox that is an error. The error is this “No video with supported format and mime type found”. This error comes when you are trying to watch videos on sites such as facebook, twitter, youtube or other platforms using firefox.

Whenever you try to play the video, it will show you a loading sign and after some time’s it will show you a “x” sign saying ‘No video with supported format and MIME type found’. This error come’s due to corrupt cookies or cache in your browser.

How to fix “No video with supported format and mime type found” issue ?

As i already told you above that you get this issue due to currupt cache and cookies. You can clear your browser cache and cookies or reset your browser to fix this  problem but it will log you out of all your logged in sites and may remove your saved passwords too. So! if you want to fix this issue in more disciplined and issue free way you can follow below steps.

  1. Paste about:preferences into your Firefox address bar and hit Enter.
  2. Select Privacy and Security tab.
    No video with supported format and mime type found
  3. Now click Manage data under Cookies and Site Data.
  4. Use the search bar to look for the site you want to solve the issue for. Remove each of the entry for that particular site.

If the issue still exist’s i would recommend you to refresh the firefox browser to fix this issue for you.
